The last weekend in September, we drove up to Temple/Killeen to look for houses, and introduce John to family members who weren't able to meet him yet! We arrived in Temple around 1 on Friday. After we ate a quick bite, we went over to introduce John to his uncle Stephen. Stephen loved holding him. I think we may have given him the baby bug again! Then Pappy & JR got some time in with him before we headed out to Killeen to meet Daddy's old Squad Leader, and his family. Unfortunately we stayed out a bit late, and John got exhausted! Saturday was quite busy. After sleeping in until 9, John spent time "visiting" with Zsa Zsa (Penny) before we went to meet Nana & Great Grandma Kelley. Her first comment was, "Chris, he looks just like you." Grandma Kelley is blind! :o) After eating lunch we headed over so John could meet Aunt Stacy. After too short of time, we headed to watch Tanner (cousin) play football, and meet Aunt Shelley, and Trevor (another cousin). Then on to watch UT play and meet "Uncle" Danny and his family. Then we made our way over to eat dinner with Great Grandma Morgan & meet Great Uncle Keith and Aunt Yvonne. It was an early bedtime that evening for John as he was wiped out from all the action.
Sunday after church we looked all over Killeen and Harker Heights for houses. John started the day off with a bang, by pooping in his carseat!! For the most part he did really well, except for the last 20 minutes of the drive home. He screamed and screamed and nothing would settle him down. Poor guy was just exhausted. All in all it was a great weekend of spending time with family and reaquainting with old friends.
